SCVPS Update

SC Voices for Patient Safety is currently working on a collaborative effort with Institure for Family and Patient Centered Care, Campaign for Better Care, MAME, AARP, and the SC Hospital Association to create a state that is more focused on patient and family centered care and in doing so, to improve the safety and quality of care. We all will be attending the IPFCC Seminar in Atlanta in March 2012. Exciting things are happening for patients in SC!

The one objective that I do, through SCVPS, that is dearest to my heart, is being able to act as an intermediary between patients and providers. In 2004...as a family member, in an emergent situation, I needed a lifeline! I did not have one. So, in 2009 SCVPS was formed so that we might be that lifeline for other patients and families. One of the most rewarding things... I have ever done! Please pray for our continued success, in representing the patient, and in doing so, improving the safety and quality of healthcare for all!
