reply | Catherine Thompson 7 hours ago Jan, A lot of doctors are telling patients who call then with flu symptoms, not to come into the office, stay home, rest, take over the counter remedies, call them if they feel like they have respiratory distress. Thats good but the problem is that with the flu, people may not always know what all the symptoms are for respiratory distress. My daughter has been home with the flu since last Monday, by Friday she could barely talk for coughing, talked to her yesterday and she was having difficulty breathing, I advised her to go to the ER, they did an X-Ray, she has penomia. She thought this was just flu and it was going to take time to get over it. Please stress that flu is not always the worst part, it the respiratory and pneumonia that is sometimes the additional and deadly part of it. Anyone with these symptoms should see a doctor immediately, even if they have been told not to go to the office. | |
